Weekly status

The weekly status says what moved in a project during a period, workstream by workstream. It is written from the project's own activity, checked by the team, published by a lead, and then read, presented, exported or shared by link. It lives under the project's Reports.

What goes into a report

A work item is in a report only when, inside the period, it was created, changed or completed; commented on or logged against; or open in a blocked status. An item sitting untouched for weeks does not show up as this week's work.

A report has an Executive overview, Delivery progress, the workstreams with their main work items and linked work, Team outcomes, and blockers. A strip above it shows the project's milestones: open, by health, and the next few.

Generating it

When a report completes, the people credited and the leads are notified in the app. Email goes out only when Email the team is on, which it isn't by default.

Report settings

SettingEffect
Reporting scheduleWhen the period ends and whether reports generate automatically.
Skip idle workstreamsLeaves out workstreams with no recent activity.
Email the teamOff by default. When on, each credited person gets their lines to check, and leads a summary.
Arrange workstreamsWhich show and in what order, everywhere. Any member may reorder; only a lead may hide one.
Manual workstreamsA workstream added by hand for work this project doesn't track, such as another team's board.
TeamAdd or remove people from a workstream's team.

Correcting it

Correct the narrative and release details on the report you're viewing, and section titles for the whole project. Edit release details offers the project's releases: picking one fills the version and dates from it, and a new week refreshes them, so a shipped release shows its actual date without retyping.

Publishing

LeadOwnerAccount Manager, Admin or Owner

  1. A generated week is a draft. The project's members see it and correct their lines. Nobody outside the project sees it.
  2. Choose Publish. Account viewers, Portfolio readers and shared decks now show it.
  3. Withdraw takes it back to a draft. Regenerating a week also makes it a draft again.

Only published weeks can be shared by link or counted in an account's delivery view.

Presenting and exporting

Sharing a deck by link

  1. Choose Share this deck.
  2. Set the Deck title, Subtitle, Presenter, and how long the Link works for.
  3. Copy the link and send it. Anyone with it opens the deck without signing in.

The link reads the stored reports when opened, so corrections still show. Active links lists what you've shared; Withdraw link stops one at once. An unknown, expired or withdrawn link shows a plain page that reveals nothing.

Several projects together

Portfolio›Weekly status lists the projects you lead and those you read through an account role, with their reports side by side: every workstream's status in one table, items completed by pod, who logged work, and each project's highlights. Projects you only read show their latest published week.

From Manage, select and order projects, schedule or generate their reports, export the selection as one PDF, PowerPoint or Excel file, share one public deck, or open one project's presentation.
